What about Softmaker Files (TMD)?

Softmaker is a cheap and powerful Office-Application that runs both on Tablets an PCs.
You can save files as doc, docx or xls, but internally fileformat is tmd for instance. So IM5 shows a questionmark instead of the contents.
Is it planned to integrate Softmaker files?

I assume the thumbnail panel shows an icon with a question mark?
This means that neither IMatch nor Windows know how to extract a preview from that file format.
By default, IMatch then uses the associated icon as returned by Windows, which is usually the icon of the corresponding application.

You can send me a sample file and I will have a look.
Maybe they offer a WIC codec or something?

As soon as I'm back home, you'll get sample files, both plan- and textmaker.
Thank you so far.

Now I have four files - two by textmaker and two by planmaker - saved as office 2003 and 2007 files.

The files are ingested by IMatch 5.
ExifTool can extract some tags from these files, and IMatch 5 makes them available via the metadata panel and all other metadata-related functionality.
Windows cannot extract thumbnails/previews from these files. Which either means that they do not contain such, or that Windows does not understand these formats, or that no "handler" for these formats is installed on my system.
