I need to  create this. But for the life of me I can't get this done. Universal Catalog > What > Animals & Pets. Can some body tell me how to do this? I have this Universal Catalog > I need to make a What Category under the Universal Catalog and then have Animals & Pets under What. How can I get this done?

This sounds like you are working with the old category hierarchy, correct?
The Universal Catalog was used in IMatch 3 at the time, but may still work for you.

1. Before you start, make a BACKUP COPY of your database.
See What to Backup?

2. I don't recall anymore the structure of this category hierarchy, sorry.
But to create a new category as a child of another category (child category), click/select the parent category (Universal Catalog in your case?) and then press <INS> on your keyboard. This creates a new child category. Name it What

If you already have the Animals & Pets category hierarchy somewhere in your category tree, you can then select it and hold down the left mouse button. Then drag it to the What category just created.

Mario I could get this to work. So I then tried this. From Frequently Used Category Commands        Ctrl+C   Copy the selected category into the Windows clipboard.
Ctrl+V   Paste a category from the clipboard.
Need less to say I could not get this to work either.

What in the world am I doing wrong?

Dragging the existing "Universal Catalog" category into WHAT (or using Copy & Paste) should have worked.

Note: You need to do this in the Category View, not in the small Category Panel.

Maybe show us a screen shot of your category tree so we have a better idea of what you are seeing?

Carl your screen shot shows the reason why you can't drag and drop or copy and paste categories.

It's just what Mario said, you are in the wrong place.

You are in the Category Panel over on the right side of your IMatch screen.

You need to be in Category View over on the left side of your IMatch screen, where there aren't any checkboxes next to the category names.

(I'm only here for a minute, I'll be leaving again shortly)

You're in the right place now Carl but your What category should be inside your Universal Catalog.

Since you don't have anything assigned to the What category yet, just select it and delete it.
Edit don't do that!!!!

Select your Universal Catalog and drag it to the top of your category tree so it's no longer under your What category.

As per your first post, you wanted the

What
  |-- Animals & Pets

category inside the Universal Catalog.
And your screen shot looks like you've achieved that.

You have now the category "What" as a child of your "Universal Catalog".
And the "What" category has a child category "Animals & Pets".
