Imatch doesn't start

New install of 2020.9.4 64 bit on a Windows10 device. I uninstalled previous version before installing the newest. I click on the icon but nothing happens. There is no log file being created in the usual place (Users-Appdata-Local-Temp). The system application event log shows an app crash but not much more.

Where to check for more clues?

Which version did you have installed before?

If IMatch does not even a log file, it is stopped immediately after start.
Typical causes: Virus checker or a PC without support for AVX (see https://www.photools.com/7438/the-photools-com-system-information-utility/)

It was the AVX. (Old Atom processor in the notebook.) Downgrading to 2019.8.4. Thanks!

If you downgrade, don't forget to restore the settings database as (IMatch.PTS), all apps, configuration files etc.
I don't test or support downgrades and things change between versions, so using a settings database updated by a newer version with an older version may cause issues.

Wasn't a problem. I think IMatch didn't even get that far in its startup, so it never touched the settings.
