IMatch has generated, this 406 MB Dump File, after an unexpected crash.
Events, leading up, to the crash:

  • IMatch and DB are open.
  • In Category View:  Viewing the Camera Make/Model Category, that ships with IMatch.  Search Bar: (SONY OR PANASONIC) AND (R100 OR G1).
  • Switch to Media & Folders View.  Navigate, to _Logins Folder.
  • Crash, now occurs, after switching back, to Category view.

Mario - I think, you may have, responded to this post, by having, mistakenly, posted, in someone else's thread:

The crash happened in the command handler in the 3rd party toolbar component. Just the right timing perhaps.
Can you reproduce this crash at will?
If not I don't think any further action is needed. Just a crash, no harm done to the database or settings.

If the above, was meant, as a response, to my, here, post, then the answer is yes!  This behavior is very much, indeed, repeatable at will!

I should add, that when I did my search, in the categories view, I had the EXIF Camera Info option selected.  Also, I had active, the hierarchical display, for all levels.

The bug manifests, when I switch to Media & Folders, enter something, into the search bar, and then, switch back to Categories, and then collapse all levels of the hierarchical display.

I cannot reproduce this, tried several variants of your description. Maybe some timing issue? Or depending on other open panels?

As far as I can tell, the crash happens inside the keyboard handler in the File Window.
Which key did you press?

I did not press any keys, on the keyboard.  If anything, only the mouse was used - to do a right-click, context-menu, to "collapse all levels".  Again, what is strange, is, that it seems, sometimes, I can circumvent, the issue, at least, temporarily, by opening-up, the preferences, an then, "Ok"-ing it.

The crash happened definitely in the keyword handler.
Else the DUMP file was not created correctly by Windows or Windows was unable to figure out the correct crash address. And then all bets are off anyway.

Can somebody else reproduce this crash following the description above?
I cannot, and I tried on two PCs with several databases. If I cannot reproduce it, there is nothing I can do.

So, are you referring, to the "keyboard handler", or the "keyword handler"?
