currently I'm testing to manage video-files (.avi, .mov) with IM5.

As result I got additional to the avi-file a sidecar file with  informations . .

So far so good . . . but after updating metadata at all the avi-file appears permanent in

Collections -> Pending Metadata write

Is there any possibility to write only sidecar?

I'll prefer to work with @keywordscategory to have all information inside file . . .

This error has been reported already, several times.

It stems from a misconception/documentation glitch and the cooperation between ExifTool and IMatch.
When IMatch accidentally assumes that ExifTool can write IPTC to AVI files just because it can read from them, some metadata tags (e.g. IPTC keywords) will always stick in an update loop. This also affects, for example, PDF files.

I'm working on this problem just now.

Hi Mario,
I have written some metadata via exiftool to pdf files. That worked fine.

I wrote the IPTC city, country, ... to that file
