Hi Mario,

Due to many reasons I am considering moving to a Mac. My simple question is: could you give any advice which application on a Mac has (almost) the same functionality as iMatch and is nearly as cheap as iMatch (I don't want to spend 1000 Euro or more).

As long as my Windows machine "lives" I'll continue using iMatch on it.

Thanks in advance,
Rien.

Hi Rien - sorry to see you go over to the "other side".. but you might want to consider researching Parallels or Boot Camp on Mac so you can continue to use IMatch.. I experimented with this many moons ago when the virtual machine software wasn't nearly as robust and with a few hiccups - IMatch did run on my Mac pretty well.  I can only imagine things are much more stable today...  I'd recommend giving it a try!

Otherwise, I've used Photo Supreme (IdImager) in the past and though different than IMatch in many ways - I can recommend the product (also from a small development team).

I don't think there is currently anything that can run Intel software on modern M1/2 Macs. Apple has burned all bridges.

Hi Jingo, I think that Mario's answer is clear enough: no Windows running on a Mac with M2 (which I want to buy).

I have currently totally no knowledge or experience with a Mac so that's of the cons to don't do it but there are (for me) many pro's.

Thanks Jingo and Mario!

As mentioned above - this was fixed and confirmed to be working again so its worth a try if moving to MAC is your final option.  Good luck!

Thank you Jingo! I will try it as soon as I bought the Mac.

Cheers, Rien.

I thought only the ARM Version of Windows (not compatible with IMatch) can be run on the M1/M2 Macs. Not sure if VirtualBox can simulate an Intel CPU on M1 chips. If they can, great. Same for Parallels.
