IMatch removes repeated values entered as a list in the metadata panel fields. Looks like it is done upon saving the entered metadata in the database, before even trying metadata writeback.

Steps to reproduce on my system:
  • Add some Artwork or Object fields to metadata panel (I use Artwork Creator, Artwork Source, Artwork Physical Description).
  • Fill some duplicated data, like "painter1, painter2, painter1".
  • Hit "OK" (green checkmark) on the top of the metadata panel.
  • As the data is saved in IMatch database (green checkmark changes to grey) only "painter1, painter2" remains in the field of the metadata panel.

Would it be possible to make that cleaning of duplicates optional in a metadata panel layout config?

I use history tags to record the following for my photos:
- what software I used (HistorySoftwareAgent)
- when I applied it to the photo (HistoryWhen)
- what action I have taken (HistoryAction)

Since it often happens that I perform several actions with the same software, there are also repeating entries in the HistorySoftwareAgent and HistoryAction tags.

By Pavel's described behavior, the records are reduced to a few that are not the same. Therefore from me:
