I'm using imatch 2020 on Windows 11. I'm new to keywords on imatch. I've figured out the simple stuff, but now want to 1) declutter the keywords panel. Currently, the keywords panel shows individual sections (see attached screen capture) but I don't want all of this in one place. I'm used to the way Capture One (C1) does things and would like to customize this panel to resemble my interface more closely.

First, there are five different sections in this panel: Filters, a Keywords section, a different section named Keywords, AND and imatch built-in keywords to use. It seems like all this stuff comes together somehow. There doesn't appear to be any way to separate the panel sections. i.e, the Keywords panel comes with all this extra stuff that apparently I cannot separate into individual pieces. It seems to be all-or-nothing. I want to split off the section in red, for example. There's just too many keywords options on this page. Can I move things around to other panels, create new panels. move sub-sections of panels to other panels. etc?

This is not one panel, your workspace shows multiple docked panels, stacked on top of each other.
At the top the The Filter Panel and at the bottom you have docked the Keywords Panel.

IMatch panels and the IMatch workspace are highly configurable.
Please see Panel Basics to learn how to how to dock, group, float and re-arrange IMatch panels.
There is also a corresponding video in the IMatch Learning Center if all of this is new to you.
You may also want to read the section about loading and storing workspaces: The IMatch Workspace

This is correct. The Keyword Panel consists of several section which allow you to view and enter keywords, access your Thesaurus comfortably, see recently used, favorite and suggested keywords and for searching for keywords.

You can resize each section individually to your taste, but you cannot remove the e.g. thesaurus section from the Keywords Panel. This would make no sense. If you don't use the thesaurus, just resize it to be very small.

Keep in mind that you can make the Keyword Panel fill the entire vertical space by clicking on the icon in the caption bar. or dock it separately and don't tug it under the Filter Panel. Or make it float freely as a window on a secondary monitor.
I would also suggest you give the panel a bit more width to work more comfortable with it.
