Hello

The installation of iMatch 2023 cannot be completed on my computer. The virus scanner (Norton 360) blocks the installation. After I deactivated Norton, the error message appears (see attachment). When skipping the file, the same error appears with the next file (and so on). The problem occurs with default user and administrator.

Does anyone have the same problem and possibly a solution?

System: Windows 10 Pro 22H2

Thank you.
Raffael

No screen shot attached. What error message do you see?
Do you try to install the trial version or the licensed product?

Sorry, I missed to attach the screenshot.

I want to install the licensed version.

Fehler 5 means "access denied". Something is blocking Windows installer from installing IMatch on your system.
If you have previously installed IMatch as an Administrator, maybe that installation created the files with access for the Administrator only, and now when you run the installer again with your normal user account, Windows cannot delete / replace the files.

Uninstall IMatch completely via the Windows control panel.
Make sure the folder "c:\program files\photools.com" is deleted. If not, delete it in Windows Explorer.
Then install IMatch again.

Norton is notorious for false alarms when the installed application is not in Symantecs secret list of supported vendors. Which makes it really hard for small vendors like me, or for software that is just one day old, to get installed. Their error messages are often misleading and their support for developers to get a file white listed is really bad.

Agree 100% with Mario. I had the same problen installing with Norton, even after stopping Norton for an hour. I ended up deleting iMatch, and also manually deleting the phototools folder in Program Data.

After that installer worked and loaded.

Thank you very much.

Manually deleting the folder in ProgramData helped to install iMatch.
