This release packs a number of new features and enhancements so make sure you read the release notes.

When you have experimental features enabled, you will immediately notice the File Window now uses a ribbon instead of a toolbar. Basically the same thing, but the ribbons I have developed look more modern (I hope).
Ribbons are responsive, which means they reduce widths of elements and may even overflow buttons into a hamburger menu when there is really little room available for the ribbon. Which may help some users who work with low-res monitors or laptops.

If you click on the new funnel icon in the File Window ribbon, IMatch opens the new Quick Filter ribbon. See the release notes for more info. Give it a good try and let me know if you like it and want to keep it.

If you happen to speak French or Spanish and you have some free time at your hand, try out the new machine-translated versions of IMatch. You can change the language via the Edit menu or you create a new shortcut for IMatch and add the /lang=es or /lang=fr command line arguments.
I don't speak these languages and so I cannot tell if the machine translation is trash or 'workable'.

After installing 2023.4.2 version I get this error when trying to execute IMatch (Can't start program because  api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-1-1.dll is missing)  See attached screen shot.

Mario

I suggest you try a reboot.
This message is about a Microsoft Windows component that it usually installed by default. Or, if missing, it is automatically installed by Windows installer. A reboot might solve this.
Are you still using Windows 10, perhaps?

Using Windows 7.  I did try reboot, no luck.  Seems strange the trial version for 2023.3.5 works?  I'll download and try the trial version 2023.4.2.

Got similar error with trial version of 2023.4.2, now because api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-1-0.dll is missing. (...-1-0.dll instead of ...-1-1.dll)

Strange that 2023.3.5 did not have this problem on my system.

Not sure how to fix.....

Windows 7? Really?
That's truly a thing of the past. Support from Microsoft for Windows 7 stopped several years ago...

The IMatch trial and the licensed version are basically identical and use the same Microsoft framework components. I don't know why Windows is complaining that some vital component is missing from your outdated Windows installation.

I haven't used Windows 7 for many years and support for the ancient Windows 7 was discontinued by Microsoft and 3rd party toolkit vendors years ago. I support Windows 10 and later versions of Windows. Windows 7 dies in 2020, when I remember correctly.

Which version of Windows are you using? Is your Windows version up-to-date?
All IMatch 2023 versions shipped with the same minimal Windows runtime version requirements.
No change between the last IMatch versions and this one.

Well, not sure what the issue is.  But I did on Windows 'Programs and Features' select the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistrubutable  (it is version 14.36.32532.0) and did a Repair.  Rebooted, still no luck.

I installed the licensed version 20203.4.2 on my Windows 11 laptop and that all worked fine.

Oh well.... I'm getting as new Windows 11 Desktop PC next month and retiring this Windows 7 PC, so I'll just wait until then to use IMatch.

But still open to other ideas to try   :)

Windows 7 is out of support since 2020 and actually dangerous to use on computers connecting to the Internet.
IMatch uses Microsoft runtime components and Windows features only available on Windows 10 and later versions of Windows.
I don't care anymore for Windows 7 compatibility. It's puzzling to me that IMatch was still running on a Windows 7 computer.
