Hi,

since some weeks I receive always this message if I try to force "reimport metadata" (Ctrl+Shift F5)

mopperle

In my case the setting is Yes/No/Yes.
Interestig thing: I never touched this, but according to the help system "Protect existing XMP" should be OFF (=NO?) whileit is set to Yes.
But so far no problems here.

In my case it is
Yes
No
No

But to be honest, I do not know, how long it is like it is, and if this is a good choice.  8)

Best wishes from Switzerland! :-)

Yes for 1 might we helpful if you also change metadata in other applications and you want to avoid that data you have modified in IMatch but not written yet is wiped out.

But why is my post now in "Solved Bug Report"? It's something wrong with Imatch settings? I don't think I ever changed the "last" point.

Mario

Somehow my initial reply was deleted. Or I did not sent it.
I said that you're correct and that this message might show up unconditionally when the user forces a rescan.
This is fixed for the next release. Release note is #02086 at https://www.photools.com/release-notes/
