Tag with original filename

I was under the impression that the original file name is stored in the following tag as described in below thread. 

{File.MD.XMP::xmpMM\PreservedFileName\PreservedFileName}

When I rename CR3 or jpg files with the renamer, the tag stays empty. Did I misunderstand something? Is there another tag which stores the original file name?

Do you have the corresponding option enabled?
This usually just works. At least the last time I've checked. Is the tag empty or maybe it contains some data already? The tag is only filled once by IMatch.
