download works perfect in only 10 seconds from my IP-connection. Not any problems even with InternetDownloadManager.
By the way, I use free opensource KeePass ID/PW manager also for login to this download side. Very very convenient!

Question about installation for beta testing:

• Is it (still or always) recommended to uninstall previous IM version?
• Is it (still or always) recommended to delete a couple of specific IM directories?
• Is it (still or always) recommended to create a new database from the scratch?
• Is it possible/recommended to install in parallel to previous version(s)?
  (e.g. in case a beta user needs to compare bugs/features between versions)

If 3 = yes:

• Is it recommended to use fresh virgin image files without modified embedded meta-data?
• Is it recommended to delete before import any XMP sidecard files?

When using in parallel v3.6 for production and v5.0 for testing it is very very difficult to overcome a regular tempation to use IM v5.0 for more than just testing. This is a sign of true value.

1. No. The installer should automatically remove older versions.
2. No.
3. No. But you can mix, work with an old and a new.
4. No.
5. No. Tests should use all kinds of images - except the images have "bad" metadata produced by an older Beta. Depends on case.
6. No. Except you swap your metadata handling strategies and switch from external to internal. Then deleting the external may help avoid problems with other apps which cannot handle internal XMP for the same formats. But better use MWG all the time for optimal compatibility.

Can't fix the code for lists. I only use SMF, I don't built it. May also be browser dependent.

Ich würde es einfach etwas später versuchen. Manchmal sind die Wege der Computer und Server usw unergründlich.

Die Logindaten sind bei mir auch gleich wie vorher, das müsste richtig sein.

Es hat sich nichts geändert.

Das customerWeb stream the download in den Browser wenn man auf den Download link klickt. Bitte nicht rechts-klick und "speichern unter..." oder sowas ausführen. Dann kommt nämlich genau diese Meldung. Ansonsten sind es immer "plug-ins" "download manager" oder ähnliches, die Probleme verursachen.
Wenn Du mit Deine E-Mail schickst, kann ich auch mal in den Logdateien schauen...

Ich benutze z.Z. (noch) IE8 unter Win7.
Habe soeben noch einmal einen Download von CustomerWeb versucht und Deine Hinweise ganz bewußt beachtet - funktioniert nicht, Problem besteht weiter.
Welche Logdateien meinst Du ?
Wie bereits geschrieben: Mit Firefox geht der Download !

IE8 is sehr alt, voller Macken uns unsicher. Aktuell ist IE 11 !

Wenn es mit Firefox geht, ist es ein browser-Problem. Ich teste nur IE ab version 9, kann also sein, das der alte nicht geht. Oder vielleicht schießt ein plug-in quer.
