Filter panel Auto option

I just wanted to confirm if this is expected behavior:

- I apply a Filter with the Auto checkmark set; the File Window caption changes to show a filter is in effect (as expected)
- I add a file to the active folder from outside IMatch (e.g., I process a RAW file to JPG). The new file doesn't become visible unless I cycle the Filter off and on.

Should I expect that with the Auto check set in the Filter that new files in the File Window should automatically become visible after IMatch does a refresh of the active folder, or should I instead expect to need to cycle the Filter off and on to see them?

There are some things which are either undoable, very hard to do, would ruin performance, cause unwanted side effects and the like. IMatch sometimes makes trade-offs to keep everything running smoothly.

Re-applying a filter after every change you make in the database will ruin performance badly, and cause a high amount of screen flicker and so on. The filter panel decides whether or not it re-runs the filter and reloads the file window when certain events happen in the file window. Rescanning a folder and re-loading the file window may under some conditions evade the filter. I'm not at my PC at the moment so I cannot try.

Press Apply in the filter panel to apply the filter again in this case. If you consider this a bug, please add a bug report.
