I created some favorites based on batch processes. Hoping against hope, but is there a way to export|copy these to another DB?

Sorry. Posted this in the wrong "General".  :-\

I guess the real question is - Can batch presets be exported to another DB?

Mario

1. Many favorites contain "links" to database-specific objects and thus cannot be copied to another database.

2. Most users will ever use only one database and I avoid putting to much work up-front(!) into aspects which may be used by only a small number of users.

3. Add a feature request. If your request is supported by other users I will look into it for a later release. I cannot plan everything and feature requests tell me what's missing or what would be useful, how many users are affected (a +1 vote from one user probably counts for 100 real users who don't follow the community) etc.

When you mean Batch Processor Presets, sure.
Click on the Manage button next to your presets and there click on Export.
On the other system, click on Import in the same dialog.
See the help for details.

Thanks. Batch processor presets were exactly what I meant. Surprisingly, when I looked in the Image Batch Processor window in the 2nd DB, the preset from the 1st DB that I wanted to export was already there without me (knowingly) having done anything to make that happen.

The reason for the 2nd DB was that I created it as a temporary DB while on travel. A few items that I "invented" then were useful and, now that I'm back, I was looking to export them to my "real DB" without having to reinvent the wheel. Before my next trip, I'll learn how to do this "travel DB" thing more efficiently. Right now, life with IM5 is a big, fun experiment.  :)

Search the help for "Traveling with IMatch" for some tips on how to streamline the process, how to use Pack & Go for that etc.
