I have 2 PCs, a Desktop where I do most of my work and a laptop.
When I go to Photography Club meetings I do a pack and go and then load my database onto my laptop (database on laptop - and also cache files, my image files  reside on a 2 Tb passport which have been copied/synched using Allway sync). I don't generally make an effort to sync my cached image files.

What does Imatch5 do when I  view a file in Imatch5 on my Laptop that I have recently edited on my desktop machine ? does it:
1. Recognize that the cached image is out of date and therefore re-generate a new cached image or
2. Simply find that there is a cached image and use it

I suppose that I could do an extreme test on a image (i.e. setting exposure to very low value) to find out, but easier to ask the master  ;)

i.e., should I also make an effort to also sync my cache?

Thanks,
Aubrey.

If IMatch rescans a folder and it finds files newer than the file record in the database, it rescans the file. And this also re-produces the cache images.
