Hallo,

I have "virtually rotated" lots of images, but i did not realise that this does not work outside IMatch.

Is there an easy way to do the following :

1. filter all my images on those that are "virtually rotated"
2. set the EXIF rotation to the  "virtual rotation", and
3. reset the "virtual rotation" so that the image is not rotated twice ?

Instead of setting the EXIF rotation, a lossless rotation would also do the trick.

Thanks,

Peter

I thought I made it quite clear in the help what virtual transforms are and when to use them. If you would like to see the corresponding help topic enhanced, let me know via the link at the bottom of the help page (just search for transform in the help index to find it).

The key point of transforms is that they work for all file types, and don't require the file to be modified. They also work for image files which don't have EXIF data at all.

You cannot filter for files with virtual transforms, and there is no feature which takes a virtual transform and somehow copies it into the EXIF data. This looks like you need to do this manually.

OK, thanks.

As an alternative for manually changing, i tried a script.  I looked at the IMImage Class Methods and Properties.  But the same message applies ?  Not possible via a script ?

There are no scripting methods which give access to virtual transformations. I would have mentioned this otherwise.
