I've just learned that IMatch is in the Top Digital Asset Management Software Products list at Capterra:

Look here

This does not mean too much  ;) , but considering that many of the other systems on that list have 5 or 6 digit price tags (left of the comma!) it's at least something to note.

And IMatch AnywhereTM is not even available for the public yet. But soon. And then IMatch may be one of the cheapest and most flexible DAM solutions with web support out there. And it even has comes with a free and open programming interface. Awesomeness

IMatch has always been my "Top Digital Asset Management Software" and that's after spending lots of money and time elsewhere and starting to write my own code before I came across Imatch on a photography forum.

Thanks to all who responded. Of course being in some Top-20 list does not mean much. But it generates some buzz. allows me to add some links to Facebook and Twitter. And this may generate better hits in Google when somebody is searching for Windows DAM.

The only marketing I can afford is word of mouth - satisfied users telling others about IMatch. Or maybe they make a post in a photo community or something. Every bit helps to improve search engine results and thus the visibility of IMatch. it's hard to get heard these days  :'( ;)

@All Users:

If you have not yet written a review for IMatch at http://www.capterra.com/digital-asset-management-software/spotlight/126559/IMatch/photools%20com#reviews, please consider doing so. Even if you write only a few sentences. Every review helps and shows that IMatch has an awesome community - which is very important.

I try to spread the word whenever I can but to be honest... I find most users have no clue what a DAM is.. and those that do know unfortunately think they must use Lightroom's poor excuse for a Library module.  I thought once digital photography became everyday (which happened years ago) that EVERYONE would want a strong DAM to manage all these digital files... instead - they just seem to let them accumulate in their Picture folder and don't care about organization... certainly not to the power that IMatch can provide..

Have you ever thought of developing a lighter version (or setting hooks in IMatch to turn off 90% of features) ala Picasa?  Appeal to the folks who may just want to do basic tagging/searching?

There are so many low-end, SOHO, entry-level image managers out there. For free. Makes no sense to spend several months to rip out what makes IMatch IMatch - and then try to convine people to use it. They will say (and probably rightfully so) that it does less than Lr does anyway.

Adobe has a high-end (and high-price) DAM product themselves. This is what they want to sell. Not spend money on Lr for this. Thanks to millions of subscribers who pay money for Lr and PS every month (and forever!) they have a lot of freedom now what to develop, for which product line and when...

The IMatch AnywhereTM WebViewser is already a simpler "Browser" interface for IMatch. It's aimed at both IMatch users and users who never used IMatch before (especially in corporate environments).
