Database Diagnostics & Compact Database

I just wanted to know, is it okay to be streaming music/video, while IMatch is in the midst of the processes of Database Diagnosis & Database Compact?  I know it's hard to get other things done in these processes, as IMatch is hogging up the processing, but if I'm streaming audio/video okay, is this okay for IMatch's needs?

When the database system optimizes a database it basically copies the database file, leaving out all deleted and no longer needed data, re-structuring index data to be more compact etc. This is almost 100% I/O-bound which means that the disk will be very busy (SSD less so). What else you do on your PC at that time is not relevant, if other apps also use the disk, the optimization will just take longer.
