File-Window, shortcuts for layouts wanted

Hi,
I'm now using IM5 also for other documents, e.g. PDF, in the same database. First part categories for pics and second part for documents.
Pics I display mostly as thumbnails, documents mostly as tabular.

It would be nice to have shortcuts for a quick selection of these layouts, may be they can be assigned in the edit layout window ...

or ...

add in properties from the categories a selectable  file-window-layout ... but that may be more complex ...

What about using different Workspaces for this purpose?
Then you could use Alt-V, r, 1 for the first Workspace, Alt-V, r, 2 for the second and so on.
