Wrong date

Hi

I have indexed a set of images and imatch has not picked up the correct date.
The date of the photo in imatch is 'today'.
The images were created in 2016, the date on the image metadata when viewed through windows explorer (or other software) is correct
The images are 'write protected', could this have something to do with it?
otherwise can anyone help out?

Did you look at the actual metadata contained in your files?
Use the Metadata Analyst for a quick check.
IMatch fills the XMP created/date subject created tags and the global "File DateTime" it uses everywhere from different sources. If no valid metadata can be found, it uses the "Last Modified" timestamp as returned by Windows.
