First bravo for the beta, superb...

At the end of installation I had an Avast (free version) red alert about msiexec.exe. IM5 could launch but creation of the database failed with an error. I uninstalled and tried again (installation and IM lauch as administrateur) : same scenario. I had to stop Avast to install without alert and create the database. After installation a scan with Avast detected no problem and everything runs smooth. Others had the same problem?

Avast...

msiexec.exe is the Windows Installer service, an integral part of Windows.

I use Avast and had no problems installing IMatch 5.

Same here. Many installs of IM5 without avast barking that I can recall.

Ferdinand

No problems that I can recall here either.

It must be a problem on my computer, to make room on my C: drive I had moved some prefetch and installation files to another drive. Big mistake, took me a lot of work to un-install properly some programs. And when installing some, it tried to install IMatch !!

Now everything works fine, we'll see what happens when installing the next IM5 version

Got the same problem with Avast during install.

Problem was not caused by msi Installer. It seems there is a shortcut registration during install that causes the problem?
Imatch installs anyway and seems to run fine...
