My sort mode is set to standard.

I have folder names like this: 2021-06-18-Holiday in Norway

If I have another folder the same day, it sorts alfabetically. That is right. But sometimes these folders don`t come in the order I want. Is there a way I can override that? Suggestions?

Which order do you want and in which order do the folders appear?
The available sort modes are explained in the help inside the Media & Folders tree configuration dialog.

I use the standard sort mode, but found no explaination on the other sort modes...

As said, my folder are named like this:

2021-06-15-Trip to Moss
2021-06-15-Consert in Oslo

In this example, the consert-folder will be above the other folder in folder tree when using the standard sort mode. But if the consert took place after the trip-folder (same date), I get a sort order I don`t want.

I just didn`t find any explaination. What does "ANSI-mode" mean?

Mario

ANSI is a sort to be used for users working with historical databases and ANSI-encoded folder names.
Use the Standard Mode, which works best. When I use the standard mode, I get this sort order (which is correct):

C comes before T in the alphabet

Unfortunately, they are not. The online help for the configuration dialog, just says to click a setting in the dialog to see help. But when you click the "Sort Mode" setting, it basically just says you can choose a sort mode.  I tried selecting different sort modes, but it did not provide additional information.

I think the available modes are self-explanatory.
Keep the default. It works well for almost all situations.
