IMatch 2021 - Events Timeline & Filtering

I find the new timeline view, for events pretty interesting! 
Simple question: 
I see there is a filter button, that goes along with the new timeline view for events, but are there any plans to expand its scope of possibilities, and/or to influence which events are on the timeline, with respect to the outcome of the search bar and/or the various filter panels?

You can filter by any of the event properties (title, description, category, associated persons, ...).
