Propagating data to second version in subfolder

I have my masters/versions configured the way I like and propagation works well from master to the first (color) version in the same folder as the master raw image.

My problem is I cannot propagate to the second black and white version that's one subfolder down from the master and first version.

According to the help on https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#a_prop data should be propagated to all versions so apparently I'm doing something wrong, can anyone see what it is?

Typical folder example
Master and first version are in D:\Mine\Photos\Years\2010-2019\2016

Second B&W version is in D:\Mine\Photos\Years\2010-2019\2016\Silver Efex

I should add the file names of both the first (color) and second (B&W) versions have identical file names, only the folder each is stored in is different.

When you select the master in a File Window and open the Version Panel, does the The Version Panel show all the versions you expect for that master?

This will help to figure out if the a) the versions are not detected or b) something with the propagation is not working as expected.

Well I don't know what I was doing wrong before but it's working now just as it should.  Yes, the versions do show up in the versions panel as they should.

I probably wasn't writing all metadata back followed my refreshing the categories.
