I want to create a date based event.
- I select the start date in the timeline, right click and select "Create event for the slected time range".
- Event editor opens, in my case 02.06.2005 is entered in both start and end date, so far, so good.
- BUT, no image is contained in the event. Hm?
- Ok, I have to click "+1 Day", afterwards the corresponding images are contained in the event. This seems strange, the start and end date already implies "one day".
- Ok, now I decide I want to add the next day as well.
- I click "+2 Days".
- BUT then end date jumps to "04.06.2005"! Huh? What happened to the third of june?
- I couldn't find a way to select two days without manually selecting the end date.

Yep, this is minor, but could still be polished.

02.06.2005 + 2 Days = 04.06.2005?
The shortcuts +1 , +2, etc. are relative to the start date. The assumption is that many events cover only a day or two and so IMatch provides convenient shortcuts to make an even one day, two days etc. long.
If the start date and end date s´is identical, the event has a time span of zero.

This is not a bug but by design.

What?? Seriously....

When I click "+1 Day", the start date and end date is set to 02.06.2005! Both the same! The event goes over 24 hours.
Now I want 48 hours, I click "+2 Days", and what I get are 72 hours! No 48 hours possible with these buttons.

And also creating an event with a time span of zero when I right click one day in the timeline does not make much sense as well.

And you really wanted it to be this way??

Mario

I wrote that explanation from memory. I think it worked that way.
I shall move this back into open bug reports and have a look when there is time.

You can always select the start and end date from the calendar controls so this is not a major issue.

Found it. Just a typo for the +1 button in code.
If the start and end date are the same, the event is one day long (it shows 24 hours as the event duration). I remembered that wrong and was to lazy to look it up in the help.

When I create a new event with start/end date the same, it shows as 24 hours and the images within that day show in the event.

QuoteNow I want 48 hours, I click "+2 Days", and what I get are 72 hours! No 48 hours possible with these buttons.
I have an event with a start date of 2023-07-04 (today).
I click on +2 Days and the end date goes to 2023-07-06 (Thursday).
The event now covers 3 days, 72 hours.

So, I'll close this again.
