hide deleted files

I have the option to hide deleted files enabled. When I delete a file, it places a red circle with a red line through it on top of the image and darkens the image some. If I restart imatch, these images marked as deleted no longer display in imatch and that's the way I want it to work, but why aren't the thumbnails for these images removed from the screen until after I restart imatch. I'd like it to remove them now rather than later.

Hide Rejected Files option under Filters.

Please Check: Is the Auto option in the filter panel (right at the top) enabled?
If not, you'll have to apply the Filter Panel manually and this would explain the behavior you see.

I've tested this and it works here just fine.

When I check the "reject" icon in the Rating, Label and Collection Filter and invert it, rejected files no longer show.
When I now select some files and press <Del> to reject them, they vanish from the File Window. OK.

I disable Rating, Label and Collections again and enable the "Hide rejected files" in the File Properties filter.
Rejected files are removed from the File Window. I press <Del> to reject some files. The are immediately removed from the File Window. OK.

There are two places to select "hide rejected files"  but I only have one set.  See attached screen capture.

What is the difference between these two settings? Perhaps you could add an explanation of the different uses of the two in the help?

The list at the top shows stored filters you can recall / activate by ticking the box. See: Filter Manager in the IMatch Helps system.

IMatch includes a set of frequently used stored filters to get you started. Only of them is named "Hide Rejected Files", because this is what it does.
