When running the Autotagger on a single image, all images in the file window darken and get the "AI" icon overlay.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open a file window (view a folder, any folder)
  • Select a single image
  • Press F7 to open AutoTagger
  • Select Ollama
  • Run

All thumbnails in the file window get the AI overlay. When the single image has completed processing, they all disappear.

But you have selected more than one image, right?
All are processed. AutoTagger just stops after processing the first image and then assigns the result to all selected images.
This behavior is by design so you know at all times which images are being processed.

I have never seen this and I cannot reproduce this. AutoTagger uses the current selection in the File Window, like most other commands. I tried your steps and only the selected single image got the AutoTagger overlay. I've tried both the "for each image" and "Run once" option. With a single file selected and with many, but using the "Run once" option.
With masters (in case it's version-related) etc. Anything else I can try?

Maybe restart your computer? And open the Info & Activity Panel before you do this. I would like to see the number of entries in queue. I have never seen this and I use AutoTagger for six months.

The AutoTagger dialog just enqueues the selected file(s) into the background processing queue. If only one file is selected, only that file should be enqueued.

Is the result different when you enable the "Run once for all selected files" option in the AutoTagger dialog?
Create a new database with a single folder and use AutoTagger on one file. Maybe this is related to the database in use?
