Hello.

I don't know it it is related to the recent updates of Imatch (i don't think so) or the new statements in google but the reverse geocoding does not work anymore.
i have checked that my API key is the good one in both the google panel and the Imatch memory.
Does someone has the same problem ?

PS: Thank you Mario for the nice upgrade of the software (and for free in my case).

Mario

Did you check the IMatch log file (see log file) for Warnings (lines containing W>) ?
If Google returns an error, IMatch will log this.

How did you check that your key is good?
Google sometimes invalidates keys for non-pubished reasons. Or maybe your credit card has expired and you did not update it? These are the typical reasons why Google suddenly stops working.

I've just done a test reverse geocode on one file at it worked as I expected

Jingo

I've been reverse coding all morning - no issues here either.

Hello.

I went to my gmail server to read my messages and there were plenty of notifications from Google platform.
Frankly i do not understand any of them !! :-) :-) . It may be the end of a free period or a lack in a google forms.
I logged then to the platform maze and did some more data entries in it and .. it works again with imatch... I will never know why.. and why it did not.

Sometimes Google disables an API for no reasons.
And sometimes your credit card expires. Even if you only use the free limits, the credit card must be valid.
These are the main reasons for a Google Maps key stop working I know of.

Hello.
in my case it was not the problem (i pay a google Drive account every month).
Thank you for the nice 2025 upgrade by the way.
I would like to see a french translation but i can go through the english version and a correct english data is better than a clumsy french anyway.
If it takes not a too long time i maybe could help?

Even with AI helping with the initial translation (I could run it through DeepL), the initial amount of work us substantial. And requires a French speaker (or better two).

The changes to resources like menus, command and texts between versions are usually minimal.

To estimate the amount of work to do, open the file "C:\ProgramData\photools.com\IMatch6\resources\imatchres-en.json" on your PC in a text editor.

IMatch includes the IMatch Translator app to help translators and to easy see which resources need translation (e.g. after a new IMatch version is released).
