I scanned files and placed them in a directory in Desktop.
The scanned file was then modified in NX2 and 2 types of file output, a NEF and a modified jpg.

The files were then organized:
Directory_on_Desktop
           raw_jpg
           NEF
           correctedJPGs

I then moved Directory_on_Desktop to e:\processed images using IMATCH

After this I saw NEF raw_jpg in e:\processed images, but higher level directory had not copied.
I then selected undo move and raw_jpg and NEF have disappeared from my disks. They appear to have been deleted with no notification. I have searched C drive and E drive and cannot find the files.

What happens when one does (or undo) a move - are files stored in a temporary directory?
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Aubrey.

Whew, that was uncomfortable for a while  :'(
Got the data back with EaseUS Data Recovery

Attached is the log file.
See around line 594, the folder being moved from Desktop is called Welltest2

Aubrey.

Update:
I manually readjusted the folders back to original setup on desktop (and made a backup). At the same time I decided to rename welltest2 to welltest. I was unable to do this as NX2 was open (although there were no files open in NX2, it had been used on some of the files - as described above). NX2 was closed folder renamed to welltest. This was then dragged to E:\processed images. The process went smoothly. As a further check I used the undo command, again this went smoothly.

No idea what the problem was earlier.
