Hi

I have a file with different versions where I want to share the Metadata of this file with all others.
Means: File.jpg is the Master, and there are Versions called File.NEF and File_1.jpg

File.jpg has GPS-Coordinates, Location information ana a Title and a description.
I now want to give this information to all the versions. Therefore I pressed F4, but the Metadata-information in the other files stayes empty.

What do I have to do to share the Metadata?

Mario

1. Make sure your file relations (Edit > Preferences > File Relations) makes the JPEG a master for .NEF and the JPEG

(Warning: Having a JPSs as the master and as versions can cause trouble unless you are very precise with your file relation setup)

2. Make sure your version relation propagates the right data (XMP metadata is the sagest bet).

3. If you need to to this only occasionally, there is also the Copy Attributes command...
