iMatch 3.6 and 5.2.5 on same PC - without altering 3.6?

I read through the following post on this subject:

but it seemed focused on a slightly different aspect and I didn't want to hijack it with my question.

I already have a working copy of version 3.6.0.118 on my main PC, and I managed to get a converted version of my database running on version 5.2.5 on another PC.  I'd like to bring the converted version over to my same PC and run it in parallel with my 3.6 version while I explore the differences and decide whether to upgrade.  BUT, I only want to do that if 5.2.5 can be installed and run on the same PC without knowing about or changing my 3.6 installation.  I don't expect or want to run them both at the same time, but I do want to be able to run version 5 for a while on the PC that already has my scanner setup, and to be able to switch back to version 3.6 (after closing down version 5) to check things out and see how they're different.

Can I install the version 5.2.5 (demo for now) on the same PC I have version 3.6 on (and uninstall it later, if I decide to do that), without having any effect on or messing up my current version 3.6 ?

See the comments on http://www.photools.com/2928/upgrading-to-imatch-5/ for details.
You can run 3.6.0.118 and IMatch 5 on the same PC. Both use different databases and settings.

When testing of IMatch 5 began I copied one of my folders of images to a new location and used them for testing. Thus IMatch 5 was working with a different batch of image files than IMatch 3. When I made changes to image files in IMatch 3, I would copy the changed files to the IMatch 5 folder. I never attempted going the other way so I can't state if that works or not. However I never had any problems that resulted from having both versions on the same computer. Not even when running both at the same time.
