I have iMatch 5.2.18 Licensed Version that only wants to open in Read-Only mode.  I have converted a copy of my iMatch3 database to aiMatch5 database but cannot use it because of the Read-Only mode.  Permissions do not have read-only checked and security fields all have read and write checked.  I even opened a new database and filled it manually with some files.  It worked ok until I closed it as it reopened as a read-only.  iMatch3 works fine on the same drive.  I am not a PC guru so I really need some help on this problem.  Thanks

Mario

Check if you have enabled the option to open all databases in read-only mode in the Database menu.
If this is off, please attach a log file from a session where you experienced this. The log file records why a database was opened in read-only mode.

As flyingscot already asked me for advise, he sent me a log file which I attach here. He's in a time zone -9 hours from us, so this may speed it up a little  :)

This data was opened in r/o mode by request. Should be the "Open database read-only" option in the Database menu.

Thanks Guys.  Did not realize "Open database read-only" was a toggle. I can use the database now.  Really appreciate the help.

Tip: Type read into the Help Index in then double-click on Read-only Databases to find the corresponding information. When enabled, this option tells IMatch to always open databases in read-only mode. This us useful if you share databases with others.
