Goto date for Timeline

Can we have a facility to find a specific date in Timeline.  Finding a date is quite a tedious process - first the year (I have 73 years), then month, then day.  Could a line please be added in the space below properties in which the required "Goto" date could be entered.  A variety of formats would be useful - yyyymmdd, mmddyyyy, 13 Aug1985, etc.
