Hi guys.
I am trying to do a simple renaming job, but can't seem to get it to work.
Assume I have a number of images in a folder, DSC_10100 to DSC_10150.
I now ingest more files, say, DSC_101 to DSC_110.
I select these files and want to rename them to DSC_10151 to DSC_10160.
Whatever I do, the renamer renames them to DSC_00001 to DSC_00010.
Any idea?

The definition in the renamer is attached.

Instead of Unique Number use Global Sequence Number

Mario

See the IMatch help for what unique number does. The unique number is a special token that can be added to prevent duplicate file names - it adds a unique number if the Renamer produces duplicate file names. To rename your files using a numerical sequence, use a global sequence number of one of the other steps.

Hi guys, many thanks for your responses.

I tricked myself in that I didn't realise that there is a step "Global Sequence Number". I assumed entering a number in the Global Sequence field is all you needed to do.

This happens when you read the help too quickly  :)

Regards.

Without the step, IMatch would not know where to add the global sequence number...at the beginning? At the end? The step allows you to place the number wherever you like.
