Option to show subfolders / childfolders in filtered Folders

I would like to see all child folders when I us a filter in the folder view. It would be a huge simplification for me working with my images. Actually I cannot use the filter because all my images reside in subfolders of my "session"-folders. To make it clearer I attach two sreenshots one with the complete folder structure and one filtered to the session "Teneriffa"

I hope it it easily to implement either as default or as an option to choose of

@nordkapp: Makes sense. I've added a corresponding option to both the Folder & Media and Categories filter.
