new formatting options for variables like 'greaterthan', 'lengthof',...

I am missing formatting options like:
- greaterthan
- lowerthan
- lengthof
and a combination of the above (e.g. if length of <filename> is greaterthan <value x>.

This would make things possible like changing the color for high iso values
or prefix long names with a ... only if it is longer than a certain value.

Of course these are not my biggest concerns at the moment - but maybe something for a rainy weekend 
If I have missed that this is already possible - please point me to the right direction.
