Batch process: how to get new filename in text overlay?

When batch processing I want to change the file name and then have the new file name as part of a text overlay.

e.g.,
From AOC_D300_160320_36347.dng to RCM-01.jpg

The file renaming and placing in another folder is working  OK, however as expected, the original filename (AOC_D300_160320_36347.dng) appears in the text overlay when I use :
{File.MD.photools.com::IMatch\101100\file.name\0}

But I would like to have RCM-01.jpg in the overlay.

Is there a way to do this in one step, or do I have to rename files and then use text overlay?

Thanks,
Aubrey.

The output file name is not accessible via a variable.
It may not even be known when the output image is generated, because you can use variables to generate the output file name, there maybe be duplicate file names to resolve etc.

If you really need such a feature, I suggest you use an output naming schema that allows you to determine the output file name e.g., from the name of the input image using variables.
