Beside https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=5841.0 i noticed, that the Viewer does currently not stay at the same point in images!

Now ... for what do i use a Viewer?

In IMatch mostly, to watch details like sharpness or details in a facial expression.
For that, i zoom to 100% ... for portraits, often at the eyes.

And then i use the mouse-wheel to compare the next image - to be able to rate the best of a series of shots.
Any other Viewer seems but stay at exactly this position when changing to the next or former image.

But the Viewer from IMatch just "jumps back" somewhere, but does not stay at the same position!

So, please add at least an option for this behavior.

I don't follow. I assume you use a zoom level other than fit-to-window? You did not explain which zoom you use, how you zoom etc.

When I zoom to, say, 500% to see a detail and I switch between images of the same dimensions (!), the same spot remains visible.

I made a mistake.
Sorry!

I was watching images over the Category Builder.
And it seems, images of different sizes got selected and displayed in a sequence that contained different sizes.

I tried again and first entered the folder which images i wanted to check.
And there it works!

So, when images have the same dimensions, everything works finde (beside the missing inverse-mouse mode)!
Over the Builder, the Viewer just got images of different sizes, which i did not notice - and this had the effect that the "focus" seemed to move randomly, instead of staying always in the region of the eyes.

Sorry again!
