I have been looking at jump lists i.e. cascading menus which open as soon as one puts the mouse over it.
(For example:  Firefox and Chrome use these for selecting multi-level bookmarks ).

I downloaded some code and got it going. It is designed for and works well for two levels, I tried a third level, it opens but it displays wrong.
I am posting it here in to stimulate interest - maybe someone will pick up on it and use it for some Imatch script.

My plan is to use it as an App launcher. I will, for lack of Javascript expertise, hard code it for use with my apps. This will make it unusable for others
I am sorry to say.

Really fantastic would be to have such a jump list work for selecting categories in a well structured tree.

To try just unzip the file into the user directory:  C:\ProgramData\photools.com\imatch6\webroot\user

QuoteReally fantastic would be to have such a jump list work for selecting categories in a well structured tree.

Keep in mind that some category hierarchies have hundreds or even thousands of child categories under some nodes.
Which is always a challenge and usually requires advanced technologies like multiple server round-trips etc.  Hard to implement something that works for more than a handful of users. Not to speak of getting this type of menu responsive (to work on all screen sizes and resolutions) and for users who use touch.-devices (no mouse!).

Incidentally, there was a time during the W10 Beta were users with more than 256 programs installed could not use the START menu - because the jump list could only handle 256 entries... ;)
