A danger lurking in debugging apps within the browser - unwanted execution

You may have your browser (the one you use to debug scripts) set up so as to reload tabs
which were open before the last closing of the browser.  In chrome this setting is called continue where you left off.

If you close the browser after the debugging session (without closing the tabs holding apps) then
on opening the browser again these apps will get reloaded .
This is only a danger if these are apps which make modifications
to your files/database as soon as they are opened - and if Imatch is still open.

I thus recommend: close your tabs (holding apps) before closing the browser - or - set up your browser so it
closes all tabs automatically.

This depends on your browser and the settings you use - my browser never reopens previously opened tabs.
If you develop apps I recommend switching this feature off. Or using a different browser for development and surfing. I use Chrome only for development, never for surfing.

So do I. But in order to use the option "Open app in web browser" I have to set chrome as the default browser.
This means it will open also when some web content is wanted by some other program. Could one make it so one can
specify in Imatch the browser which is to be used?

Mario

You can just type the URL into the Chrome address bar instead of using the "Open in Web Browser" option. Easy.
