Hi,
I'm still evaluating IMatch and I wonder where keywords are written for a JPG file.
After adding some keywords, I do not see them under window explorer even after adding Keyword column in the details list.
I can't see added keywords with IMatch under ExifTools ! ?

Thanks

Mario

When you change metadata, IMatch saves these changes into the database. It does not immediately update the files on disk, for performance reasons.

To write the changes to the image file, click on the pen icon showing in the File Window panel (acts on all selected files), or use one of the Commands menu > Metadata Write-back commands.

See the corresponding help topic for details: Metadata Write-back

IMatch provides explicit control on metadata including keywords. The metadata write-back flag, the ability to easily filter for files with unwritten metadata and the ability to explicitly initiate metadata write-back assure me that keywords are permanent with my files regardless of the DAM used. After a recent memory device failure I found IMatch tools able to rebuild everything including keyword metadata even after a few issues I had with my backups.

When I have a few thousand 'slow' (aka large or network-based files) to update I can let IMatch write-back all the changes while I'm watching TV or doing sports or sorts.
Although write-back has become much faster in the 2018.11.2 release, even for large files.
