Problems installing latest version

I am currently running 2018.11.2 and thought it was about time I updated to the latest version 2019.6.2
I used the check for updates >installer feature; the download completes but then I get a "Preperation error" telling me to restart IMatch and try again.
I've had two goes at this and get the same problem each time.
I have successfully downloaded the latest version via the website, but am nervous about clicking on it and doing the install that way because:
1) will that actually update my version?
2) will it keep all my settings/filters/categories etc. and database untouched - I do not want to lose all that work (I have taken a backup using Pack n Go)
3) what if fails again?

You are using a very old version of IMatch. The issue with the built-in updater app has been fixed many months ago.
Just download the installer from the customer portal and install it as usual. All your settings etc. will be kept.

Once you have a current IMatch version, the updater app bug will be fixed. And also 50 or so other real bugs that have been fixed since the old 2018.x releases.
Always keep IMatch up-to-date to get bug fixes, enhancements and new features. Don't work with a software that is a year out of date. A year means about 12 (twelve!) missing IMatch updates...

Thanks for very quick response.
I ran the installer and it successfuly installed 2019.6.2 which is now running OK.
