Hello

I am looking for a keyboard shortcut for the next file in the file window (not viewer). For example Capture One use "Ctrl"+"arrow right". Togethere with my Razer Tartarus II I could really work fast through a bunch of images.

It would be a boost for tagging in IMatch too.

For example:

Workflow
1. Image is activated
2. On my favorite I have all my Keywords I need. So I just click them.
3. Next Image in the filewindow with "CTRL" + "=>" [no matter where I clicked before]
4. Click all keywords in my favorite panel
5. CTRL + =>
.....

Currently I have to click much more often.

If there is not such thing, I would open a feature request.

You can move to the previous / next file in the file windows using cursor left / cursor right. But only if the file window has the focus. F9-F9 switches the focus to the file window.
Does this help?

While in the Metadata Panel or Keyword Panel you can use Ctrl+PageDown and Ctrl+PageUp to move between files without moving the focus from the panel.

Clicking on a Favorite deliberately moves the input focus to another panel, and Ctrl+<Cursor> is used in the Favorites panel to move favorites around...
Application-wide global keyboard shortcuts to move to the "next/previous" file in the active file window (they may be none!) are not easily available or implemented.

Yes, maybe. For Razor I can write an Macro. So, if I press a key on the Razer Tatarus, it make itself "F9" - "F9" - "=>"  I will try this tomorrow. Thank you, thrinn.  :D

Yes, it works with Macro.... as long I use Favorites for adding Keywords (thank you again thrinn).

If I add Keyword with the categorie-Panel, "F9" + "F9" don't set the focus to the file-window. Do you know why, Mario?

Mario

Should work. Make sure a panel is actually active so Windows sends keyboard input to IMatch. Click somewhere to make sure.

I found the problem! If I put the category-Panel to a new, separate window (another Monitor), IMatch don't go back to File-Window. If I put the categorie-Panel to the same window it works.

Is there a solution to bring back to File Window, no matter where the other panels are?

Mario

It should work nevertheless. But floating windows, on another monitor, may trick Windows and it might not know that you actually want to run a keyboard shortcut for an an application running on another monitor.
Try to click somewhere inside the IMatch main frame to ensure that Windows considers IMatch active, then your keyboard shortcuts will work.

I have had this problem with floating panels in the past and back then at least - only docked panels allow for uninterrupted keyboard shortcut control (https://www.photools.com/community/index.php?topic=8333.msg58503#msg58503).  I solved by getting a huge 34" widescreen and using docked panels on the main monitor for the keywords panel.

Mario

Docked panels are "child" windows of IMatch and hence the Microsoft framework routes messages from the main window (where the global handlers are).
A floating panel is a separate window on its own and here other rules apply. Or maybe its just that the 3rd party user interface framework company has messed something up. I can investigate when I have time and a bug report.

I have three monitors. One of this three are my graphic tablet. Now, when I know which cause this small problem it is not really one anymore. I can configure my Panels, so that the shortcuts mostly work. That is good enough for me.  :)

Thanks all for helping me.
