The 'Did You Know?'' App

This app shows short tips for IMatch commands and features. Learn something new every time you start IMatch.

What It Does

Many IMatch users only use the IMatch Help System only occasionally or when they get stuck somewhere.

This is unfortunate, because they miss out on many of the powerful and advanced IMatch features. It really pays off to spend some time with the help system!

The 'Did You Know?' (DYK) app was designed to help with that. It displays information about a different command or feature every time IMatch starts. If you find something interesting, use the embedded links to get detailed information from the IMatch Help System.

How It Works

The 'Did You Know?' app runs automatically in a dedicated panel when IMatch starts and displays a random tip or short topic.
This way you can keep the panel open and learn something new about IMatch every day. If you don't like this, you can disable the automatic appearance of 'Did You Know?'' in the application preferences.

Usage

The app automatically picks a random topic on every start.
At the bottom of the panel you'll find several buttons which allow you to navigate between topics. Point the mouse cursor at a button to see a short explanation of what each button does.

The table of contents ( button), shows all DYK topics available and allwos you to search all DYK topics.

Manually Starting 'Did You Know?'

You can open the DYK panel anytime via the View menu > Panels > Did You Know? and also from the Help menu.

Disabling the 'Did You Know?' App

You should really let it run automatically - at least until you have read all tips once.
This will allow you to use IMatch better and get done more in less time.

If you don't like the app to run automatically when IMatch starts, you can disable it via Edit > Preferences > Application. Search for know on that page to find the corresponding setting.
