Some general notes on keyboard usage and shortcuts and hotkeys...
See the handy Keyboard Cheat Sheet for a list of all frequently used keyboard shortcuts in IMatch.
IMatch associates all frequently used commands with keyboard shortcuts (sometimes also called hotkeys). Instead of using a menu or toolbar button to execute a certain command you can press the corresponding keyboard shortcut instead. This saves time and avoids unnecessary hand movements between keyboard and mouse.
The keyboard shortcut associated with a command is displayed in the menu and/or in the tooltip for the toolbar button. Many keyboard shortcuts are also listed in the help topics explaining the command.
When specifying a keyboard shortcut, IMatch uses this notation:
Key | Press the key. |
Key 1 + Key 2 | Press both keys at the same time. |
Key 1 , Key 2 | Press Key 1, release, press Key 2 within one second. |
B | Press the B key. |
Ctrl + F2 | Press Ctrl and F2 together. |
M , X | Press M, release, press X within one second. |
Shift + Ctrl + F4 | Press Shift, Ctrl and F4 at the same time. |
Ctrl + M , V | Press Ctrl and M together, release, press V within one second. |
